Dignity of the Human Person requires us to treat others the way we would like to be treated. It asks us to see Christ in the other and to value them. |

Subsidiarity and Participation requires that we are free to make decisions for ourselves and our community (big and small) and that we all have a right to participate in society.

Solidarity requires us to understand that we all belong to one human family. What effects one person will also effect another.

Care for our Common Home requires that we all have responsibility for the care of our world and to share the resources that the earth gives us.

Preferential Option for the Poor acknowledges that we all have a responsibility for those who are most vulnerable in our society.
