To encourage families and individuals to grow in faith, we offer some activities and discussion that will inspire you to:

Our family is our first contact with community, and the first place we experience the depth of relationship with which God is intrinsically linked.
"Faith Journey" is a collection of resources offered to you as an opportunity, every month or so, to spend time as an individual or a family making connections with God, and each other in a home setting. Growing in faith and deepening and discovering our relationship with Jesus is a vital aspect of belonging to the Catholic Church family. We want to help unwrap the message of Jesus in the Gospels in a way that relates to the lives and situations of our present community in Aotearoa New Zealand. With all the distractions and noise of life it is important to make sure that we take time to tune into a life giving message, that supports our growth and encourages us to be the people and community God wants us to be. Being Catholic is counter cultural. We do not strive to be successful as individuals at any cost, we are community orientated, we strive to live lives that are merciful, loving, forgiving and hope-filled. |
(NB. This FaithJourney website is a new initiative by the National Centre for Religious Studies (NCRS) - an agency of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops' Conference - to support families in their journey of faith. It is built by people working in parishes in this area. We welcome any feedback.)
