As Catholic people we are called to live lives of joy and hope sharing the vision that God has for us.
Throughout Lent we spent time considering how we can make changes in our life that bring us closer to God. Now that Easter has arrived it is time for us to turn outwards towards those around us and focus on how we can bring hope to others.
How might you do this as a family? How can you bring christian hope to the people in your community?
For some it might just be taking the time to talk to them, for others it might be a helping hand with a physical task like mowing the lawns. Maybe there is someone in your community who you just cannot forgive, or hold a grudge against? Now can be a time to 'let go' of that hurt and fix the relationship. Sometimes the simple act of a genuine smile is enough to let someone know that they are valued. Share times when someone has given you hope or made you feel valued. When have you done that for someone else?

As you move through the Easter Season challenge yourself to a random, conscious act of kindness everyday, it can be something small or something big. Don't forget to talk about any great experiences that come from these things, as often we have to listen to bad news stories but good news stories are so much more HOPEFUL!
